Action in the district court for Stearns county to recover damages for the alleged malpractice of defendant, a physician and
surgeon. The case was tried before E. J. Ruegemer, Judge, and a jury, which returned a verdict of $15,000 for plaintiff. Upon
defendant's alternative motion for judgment or a new trial, the court denied the motion for judgment but granted the motion
for a new trial unless plaintiff should consent to a reduction of the verdict to $5,000, in which case the motion would be
